Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a good teen hangout? Can I drop off my kids unattended?
All youth must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. That adult is responsible for the conduct and supervision of all minors in their care. Each youth may bring one friend. Large groups of unaccompanied youth will not be admitted under any circumstances. No exceptions.
What time does the movie start?
We don't have an exact time when we will hit the play button each week; instead we wait until it's dark enough to see the movie clearly. Typically it's about 20 minutes after sunset.
Can I bring tall, camping style chairs?
Tall camping style chairs are welcome in the back and side areas.
You are welcome in the park at any time. But most folks set up their chairs and blankets after 7:00 pm so they have a good idea about the placement of the movie screen.
Are there any other things to do in the park before the movie starts?
There’s plenty to enjoy in Settlers Park before the movie begins including the splash pad, sound garden, full playground and a variety of activities provided by the nightly sponsors.
Can I bring food into the park; can I buy food in the park?
Settlers has a concession stand but you are also welcome to bring your own picnic! Please be aware, alcohol is not allowed at movie night events.
How is this amazing event free to attend? Who can we thank for making it happen?
Many local businesses sponsor a night or the entire season, and a team of volunteers helps make the magic happen. If you enjoy the evening, be sure to let them know—they’re the reason this summer tradition shines!
