National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighborhoods and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community and provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighborhoods together.
Neighborhoods throughout Meridian gather on this evening as a community. Each neighborhood unites in a way which is unique to their neighborhood and its residents. Some neighborhoods have a block party, a BBQ, throw a pool party or just simply hang out and chat. First responders such as personnel from the Meridian Police Department, the Meridian Fire Department and Ada County Paramedics as well as City Officials visit each party. During the visits they engage in conversation, take pictures, play games, or let the kids check out safety equipment and vehicles.
National Night Out 2026 will be Tuesday August 4th, 2026
Registration for neighborhood parties is now open. See link below.
