- Food and beverage jars and bottles (e.g., pickle jars, salad dressing bottles, wine and beer bottles)
- Broken bottles and jars
Discard lids, caps, and corks
Empty and rinse containers
Unaccepted Glass:
- Light bulbs
- Porcelain
- Ceramics
- Pyrex®
- Mirrors
- Fish and reptile tanks
- Window glass
Do not place glass of any kind in the commingled recycling carts.
Glass Recycling Options
Glass Drop-off
- Glass can be dropped off at the Meridian Transfer Station (2130 W. Franklin Road, Meridian) in the recycling area.
- Offered at no additional cost.
- Please only drop off accepted glass containers.

Curbside Glass Collection
- For a monthly fee of $8.25, Republic Services will deliver a 65-gallon glass-only recycling cart (with a blue lid) to your home.
- Glass recycling is collected every four weeks.
- To find your collection day, visit Republic Services' website.

Glass Cart Reminders
- Set out the cart by 6 AM on your service day.
- Place the cart 3 feet away from other carts and from obstacles such as mailboxes and trees.
- All glass must be inside the cart, and the lid must close. Do not overfill the cart, or glass may spill.
- Take extra bottles and jars to the Meridian Transfer Station (2130 W. Franklin Road, Meridian) or order an additional cart.
- Do not place trash or non-glass recyclables in the “Glass Only” cart.
